Our brief was to provide designated parking spaces and a residents’ garden. Parking was provided in areas overlooked by the building to increase the cars’ security. An enclosed garden with lawns, planting and seating areas was created with access restricted to residents only. Improved lighting and open views throughout the site increased the potential for natural surveillance and therefore reduced the possibility of anti-social behaviour. Bespoke signage and railings enclosing the whole site completed the enhancement works and helped create a distinctive identity for the block.
