Sainsbury’s Coulsdon development is an intensive seven- storey, mixed-use district centre development on a strategically located brownfield site. The site is adjacent to the main entry point to the town centre and includes the principal access to the railway station.
The proposals include: ground decontamination, enhanced pedestrian and vehicular linkages to the railway station, high density residential accommodation, and a large supermarket. All car parking will be on decks, above the supermarket which is partly concealed within the hillside.
Arthur Amos Associates have been involved in the planning, design, and environmental assessment of this scheme for the last three years, including street and roof garden design, landscape and ecological assessment, and mitigation.
