In the first instance Arthur Amos Associates was commissioned to carry out a visual evaluation of a private period property and grounds within a farm estate. Recommendations for landscape improvements, management and design were proposed which in turn led to the detail design and implementation of a new garden, courtyard development and woodland.
The woodland was edged with a mixture of coniferous and deciduous specimen semi-mature trees specified to provide strong autumn colour and all year round structure.
Engineering solutions and details were produced for the construction of walls, patios, pathways and water features. In addition the company oversaw the construction and provided guidance in sourcing and selecting plants and trees.
The design incorporated a strong artwork element, balancing the requirements for a contemporary garden sympathetic to and in the context of a period property.
