Central Quay

Central Quay Business Park

Central Quay, Glasgow, is a speculative office development for which Arthur Amos Associates produced the second phase planting and hard landscape schemes. The central area of this phase is a podium deck (the roof of an underground car park) adding complications in terms of drainage issues and weight restrictions.
The planting and hard landscape schemes seek to revitalise the external space of the development using innovative and high quality materials in a dramatic and visually imposing composition. The proposals provide a central ornamental lawn, semi-mature trees, planting beds, and paving which define circulation routes through the development.
The site’s ecological value has been assessed to comply with the requirements of BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) and has been awarded a ‘Very Good’ rating.
